Food has an incredible way of telling stories, bringing people together and celebrating generations of culture and tradition. For Dianne, the passionate foodie behind Down d' Islands, sharing the glorious flavours of her Trinidad and Tobago homeland is about so much more than cooking.

It's about heritage, family, community and introducing others to the wonderfully rich and colourful world of authentic Trinbagonian cuisine!

With a love of traditional Caribbean cooking, Dianne brings the vibrant tastes and welcoming spirit of the islands to every dish.

A Melting Pot of Cultures and Flavours!

Trinidad and Tobago's food is a fascinating fusion of cultures, shaped by centuries of history and the influences of African, Indian, French Creole, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese communities.

These traditions have blended over generations to create a unique and exciting cuisine filled with incredible flavours, aromatic spices and delicious combinations.

For Dianne, food is something to be celebrated and shared.

Trinbagonians are famously proud of their cuisine, and with good reason! Cooking is deeply connected to family, friendship and hospitality, with gathering around delicious food being an important part of island life.
