About Craft & Curios
More Than a Craft Market
Craft & Curios was created to bring interesting independent businesses and curious people together.
We believe the best markets are more than simply rows of tables.
They’re places where you discover something you weren’t looking for.
A maker you’ve never encountered before. An object with a story. A new favourite small business. Something you pick up, put down, walk away from… and then inevitably come back for.
That’s the atmosphere we want every Craft & Curios event to have.
Our events are carefully curated with a focus on independent makers, interesting products and a varied mix of businesses, while creating opportunities for crafters to put their work in front of new audiences.
And we’re only getting started.
Created by a Crafter, for Crafters
Craft & Curios started because I was on the other side of the table.
I’m a crafter myself, and like so many independent makers, I was constantly searching for events where I could showcase my work, meet customers and connect with other creative businesses.
I spent hours looking for craft fairs, markets and new opportunities.
And somewhere along the way, I had a thought.
Why not create my own?
Not simply another craft fair, but events that bring together people who genuinely care about what they create.
And that’s where Craft & Curios began.
Bringing Passionate People Together
One of the things I love most about the crafting community is the passion behind every table.
Every maker has their own story.
Something they’ve designed, painted, poured, stitched, sculpted, baked, printed or created with their own hands.
Craft & Curios is about bringing those people together and giving them a place to share what they do.
I want our events to feel welcoming, interesting and full of things worth stopping for.
A place where independent makers can meet new customers, visitors can discover businesses they may never have found otherwise, and creative people can meet others who understand exactly what goes into running a small business.
Carefully Chosen Locations
Where we hold an event matters just as much as who we bring together.
We look for venues that sit at the heart of their local communities and consider the surrounding area, accessibility and overall feel of the location.
We’re not interested in simply finding an empty hall and filling it with tables.
The aim is to create events that feel connected to the place they’re being held and welcoming to the people who live nearby.
There’s something special about a local venue filled with independent makers, with people from the surrounding community coming through the doors to see what’s been created.
That local feeling is an important part of Craft & Curios.
More Than a Market
Craft & Curios is growing into something bigger than the events themselves.
We want to build a creative community where independent makers can find opportunities, promote their businesses and reach new audiences.
It’s also a place where venues, businesses and organisations can come to us with an idea for an event and we can help bring it to life, drawing on a growing network of talented crafters, makers and independent businesses.
Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t having the idea.
It’s finding the right people to make it happen.
Built From Experience
Being a crafter myself matters.
I understand the excitement of finding a new event.
I understand filling in applications, preparing stock, setting up your table and hoping people connect with what you’ve created.
And I understand just how much work can sit behind what looks, to a visitor, like a simple market stall.
That experience shapes the way I want Craft & Curios to grow.
Fair opportunities. Carefully chosen locations. Interesting events. Independent businesses. Passionate people.
And plenty of curious things to discover along the way.
